Project Officer
Kate is a community development practitioner from Tandanya, Kaurna Country (Adelaide, SA). She has over 12 years’ experience in facilitation, research, design, and project management. In this time she has contributed to the work of grass-roots initiatives, NGOs and Aboriginal Corporations both in Australia and internationaly.
Kate is energised by in community-led change and is skilled facilitating participatory processes that enable new conversations and collaborations. Kate is committed to the economic participation of women, as well as fostering community-strengthening initiatives that respect and restore local ecologies, economies, and cultures.
Kate moved to Derby in 2019 and like the pindan, Derby stuck. Kate’s heart is in the Kimberley and she is excited for the opportunity to bring girls and women across the region together to share stories, knowledge and skills through the Strong Women Business Gathering and to realize the full potential of their networks.
